We are delighted to say that we have appointed Lydia Pistis as our Director. Lydia joins us from SOAS University of London, where she was a Philanthropy Manager and worked for nine years. She has extensive experience working within the charity and education sector, including raising money for capital campaigns. At SOAS she was the lead for fundraising relating to Africa, such as providing scholarships for African students. Lydia is passionate about philanthropy’s role in transforming lives and women’s empowerment.

Lydia said: “The opportunity to lead fundraising and communications at Engera and have a direct, tangible impact in Ethiopia is hugely exciting. I am looking forward to working alongside the Engera team and the community in Gurage to help improve access to quality healthcare for whoever needs it.
